Sheldon Smithens - Canadian Pickers

Sheldon Smithers is a third-generation antiques dealer, auctioneer, and appraiser with a vast knowledge of antiques and collectibles qualifying him as a professional picker. He appeared as an expert on the nationally televised, ‘Canadian Antiques Roadshow’ on CBC, and was the Calgary co-host of the American HD Television production, ‘Treasure Seekers’. He is also the co-star of Canadian Pickers.

Canadian Pickers follows Scott Cozens and Sheldon Smithens as they travel across Canada looking for items in basements, garages, attics, sheds, barns, warehouses, storage units, flea markets, yard sales, and shops. Always clad in cowboy hats and Western wear, the pair make use of their folksy charm when negotiating the purchase of collectibles ranging from vintage furniture, antiques, and advertising to all things Canadiana in hopes of making a profit upon their resale.

Innovation Pavilion

The Innovation Pavilion showcases the latest in new and emerging technology and innovations. Awards are presented at the opening ceremonies and recipients receive special signage for their booths to acknowledge award-winning products.

Submissions are qualified by the Canada’s Farm Progress Show Innovation Committee and evaluated by a judging panel. The highest-ranked innovations will receive a Gold Standard Award or a Sterling Standard Award.
