Energy Centre
Located in Co-operators Centre, Show Arena
People are seeing “green” in a whole new way. For farmers in particular, the shift from “should” to “must” when it comes to responsible practice, has taken a sharp focus. The questions of alternative options for energy is top-of-mind and Saskatchewan, with its tremendous deposit of oil and gas, is poised to play a key role in finding the answers. With nearly half of the nation’s total farmland acreage contained with its borders, Saskatchewan also holds the greatest potential for bio-fuel production. A growing number of consumers are now basing their buying decisions on a product’s potential impact on the planet. Market-savvy producers, manufacturers and retailers are building their long-range business plans with a close eye on this trend.
Canada’s Farm Progress Show is proud to host the Alternative Energy Centre, in recognition of the importance of this issue to all aspects of the agriculture industry. With more than 20 exhibitors, the centre will showcase a wide range of innovative energy options, from biofuels to energy-saving products that use the latest in solar, wind and geothermal technologies.
See new and creative farming and conservation practices that will expand your farm’s “green” footprint and the leading-edge technology and innovative products to get you there. It’s all on display at the Alternative Energy Centre.
